Apparently Bush called the war in Iraq a "Catastrophic Success."
From Dictionary.com:
ca·tas·tro·phe Pronunciation Key (k-tstr-f) n.
- A great, often sudden calamity.
- A complete failure; a fiasco: The food was cold, the guests quarreledthe whole dinner was a catastrophe.
- The concluding action of a drama, especially a classical tragedy, following the climax and containing a resolution of the plot.
- A sudden violent change in the earth's surface; a cataclysm.
Every single one of those definitions has negative connotations. It's puzzling that Bush would use such an adjective.
Perhaps it was a freudian slip.
Freudian slip? Perhaps he's a fucking idiot.
