Well, today is the day known as Valentines Day. I'd like to be bitter about it, but for some reason I'm not. Yet, I haven't been out yet today to see all the roses and chocolates and cards and whatnot being sold in vast quantities. In fact, the only reason I'm bitter at all today is because of all the homework I must do.
Why be bitter? Being single at our ages is a good thing. Happy Valentines' Day! (And no, i don't want you to be my valentine.)
There is probably some truth in that, Ted. Maybe it is prudent to be single. But being prudent isn't always very enjoyable.
I'm actually not very bitter about it. I do, however, think that Valentines Day is a silly idea anyways. It serves to make people money with all the spending. Why do people have to have a special day to do something special for someone?
Oh it's very commercialized... just like christmas, easter, thanksgiving... oh well. I think doing the same things you would for a special someone on valentine's day on any other day might be much more romantic. ;-)
