Arg
In the world today you want to be able to trust those who have influence and power. You want to be able to think that they are above petty insults and bad diplomacy, then you read something like this and you realize that the people running the show are complete idiots.
That deserves an honerary award for stupidity. Why does everyone have to agree with the Americans? France can still be an ally and not have the same view-point on everything. Why must they resort to pathetic name calling (or changing) like that. How incredibly stupid can you get.
I dearly hope next election the Americans elect competent representatives.
I'm not sure what you mean. The place for text entry doesn't appear or the actual comments don't appear?
Posted by: Jeff on March 13, 2003 02:32 PMOK, I booted up IE in Classic and I see the problem you're talking about. I don't know whats wrong. My site uses a lot of CSS and it's likely that IE on OS 9 doesn't support some of the things it uses.
What browser did you use to post the comment?

But I can still enter comments using IE5 and OS9 as I am doing now.
I just looked at your page in Netscape 4.7 and OS9 and it's quite messed up.
People at Universities still use Netscape 4.7 alot so that's why I still use 4.7 to look at things.

Well, I can't seem to figure out the problem with IE. I'll try a bit more.
Sadly my site probably wont work in the Netscape 4 series at all since it uses a lot of CSS and things that Netscape 4.7 doesn't support. Nobody should be using Netscape 4 anymore anyways. If you're on OS 9 they can upgrade to Netscape 7. People need to move on from those old browsers :).
I'll see if I can fix the IE bug.

When I click on comments, using IE and OS9
on mac the comments box appears but the comments don't appear in the box. Your jeff hume title shows up and a white box but no text. Just another one of those pesky browser-platform differences. no big deal but just thought I'd say.
